walter aka irrelevant - HRS spins off Lanier Worldwide which results in an IPO in this case as far as I know Lanier is not being spun off to existing HRS shareholders - that would not create financing for Lanier or $$ to HRS - so YES their is a QUIET PERIOD - unfortunately for you I have been involved in a number of spin offs/capitalizing a division of the parent company resulting IPO's and know how they work

waltet aka irrelevant I rechecked HRS news on spin off - they said each HRS shareholder will receive 1 shr of Lanier for each share of HRS owned - HRS will retain 10% of Lanier after the - HRS plans to use proceeds from IPO for acquisitions in the communications equipment industry and for general working capital
