I've actually never seen a "blatant" public display; or maybe I have, but just didn't notice. One hauls out one's tits so often during the day when one is nursing, and under so many different circumstances-- stirring the soup with the right hand while holding the baby to the breast with the left, doing the same with the phone in the right hand, the hairbrush, the paper, the checkbook-- that I can see how a harried mother might just feel very different about the meaning of her dripping breast at the bus stop where her child is screaming that do the onlookers.

So she should have arranged a shawl or something. If she had one. Okay, she shouldn't have forgotten her shawl.

I'm happy that she wasn't self conscious, and nursed her baby comfortably. As soon as the baby cries, the breasts start dripping milk. If you don't nurse right away, you are liable to have a soaked dress in minutes.
