I doubt it. Intel needs outside testing support to complement its internal Merced validation work. So they better send Merced systems to as many co-validators as possible. This way, any bugs which escape Intel will have a better chance of being caught by someone else.

Remember, it only takes one bug (that has no workaround) to turn a triumphant introduction into an embarrassment. Anyone remember Pentium FDIV? I sure do.
