truedog, I think you have hit the core of that discussion. Namely, is being homosexual a 'fate', or are people made homosexual. I think science will not help much, but prompt a lot of discussions in the near future results from human genome project and their interpretation). Also there is recent evidence of homosexuality in animals. For this, it is of course even less clear on how to use that knowledge to understand humanity.
