Hi Wily,
"This is all based on Samsung being the only volume producer. Micron is already sending out 128Mbit samples and have declared RDRAMs their "most important" project right now. So how long before available volume doubles? "

we have been hearing about MU for quite some time, and frankly I have become very skepticle.
The DRAM manufacturers are all in bad shape. None of them are willing to invest megabucks in a new technology for a product with an uncompetitive price and a low yield. Collectively, by means of inactivity, have successfully delayed DRDRAM in June and now in September. Sure, we know that 0,18µ technology will help the yield, but when is it coming, and when it does come it will lower sdram costs too.
They literally have Rambus by the short and curlies. What makes you think they will awaken so soon from this apathy???
