An interesting discovery would be discovery that we are not intelligent life. But I don't know who could make it. But it's always assumed we are. What if we are, just kind-of? "Barely Intelligent Life." "We have discovered Moronic Life on another planet." It's sure funny to think of us in a million years. That is funny. Who thinks we will still be around in a million years? What if cultures just get to the build a black hole and vanish stage? To burn fuels and swelter to death? I think a fun survey would be to see how many people thing we'll be here in 1,000,000 years. And another question would be, "How many of you think people were the cause of the demise of people." What percentage there. And I guess a final survey question would be, "Will there be any life left on Earth after People are done with it?" Say above microbe? Maybe bacteria win the day. It's fun to think about, because 1,000,000 years really will pass, just like they always do, and the photo-op will exist..... I had a dream about the future once, but it was only 5 or 8000 years future. Which is a long way, but only 1/200th of 1Million. I spose the same survey could be run on a 10,000 year time line without much change of the results. "Oh yah. Whatever hoomans are going to do, they're gonna do it in less than 10,000 years." Oh: "And what percentage of intelligent life out there do you think survives a intelligence? One in a hundred planets? One in a thousand?" A million years of intelligence would be a long time, for intelligence. Not for any.... uhm....."regular" system, but for an intelligent one it would be.
