Broker question (got screwed over)...

I placed a buy limit order 2 3/32 for HMGN at 10:30 this am. I even got email confirmation of the order..Suretrade loses the order and says they have no record of it...i get back from lunch, and it is showing as open on my screen 3 hours later. So i call them, and they still have no record of it...so their imcompetence has cost me at least 25%...is there anything I can do? I have proof that i placed the order, and it stayed below my limit for an hour (and I didn't lose it) I don't suppose there is anyway I can force them to give me the shares? I shouldn't have to lose money because they constantly screw up...

thanks for any suggestions....

Careful holding HMGN too long. Look what happened to PLSIA in the days following their FDA approval.
