bingo! da big VOID keeps the rats on the ship. 1000 years from now life will abide. Maybe not humans though. Suppose, just suppose, some primitive life forms are identified on Mars or underwater on a Jupiter moon...uniqueness dissolves, mankind shrinks. Just another self-cognizant life form on just another planet orbiting just another star, in just another galaxy. The image of god unmasked. We will live to see the day.

"What the heck am I talking about?

And who cares?
"

Meta questions should not be allowed because they are inherently not fair.

As for who cares, only everyone. It is just a matter of degree. Anyone who says, "I don't care," cared enough to make the statement.

All of which, is of course, IMHO, as if anyone cared.
