Do I rant? I guess I do.

Good advise on the falling knife aspect of falling stocks.

Think of the money you could have made had you gotten out AND gone short on LRW at the same time....

oilbabe...you are correct when you warn against trying to catch a falling knife....All investing is pretty much a crap shoot, however. Somebody has to sell for me to buy. I look at this as long term money...This is a stock that has downside momentum and the momentum has to reverse before it can begin the trek up again. It is my goal to just put it away, however. I see the problems with LRW as short term....I see the stock working into strong hands who are buying cheap and not anxious to take a quick profit. I see a stock which will make .80 this year and roughly 1.20 next year. I see Mr Diamond gone and many of the problems he brought to LRW being dealt with head on....and I see what might be climactic selling 8/2/99(way oversold)...This stock qualifies for a value investment and that is what I want....

No sense in betting the farm but I am pretty happy buying this stock in the 11's...The last time I did that it was wonderfully profitable and I think it will be again...sooner or later....

Thanks for your insight.

Mike

I thank goodness that I listened to the rantings of "Dr. Seuss" and got out long ago.

Oilbabe, I'm sure that you are familiar w/ the saying that even a broken clock is right twice a day. Applies here.

More appropriately, I refer back to the saying about putting 100 monkeys at typewriters, and eventually one of them will write Shakespeare. Well, Seuss ain't that monkey. He's more likely to be the one spreading his waste all over the walls.

What a disgusting little runt.

oilbabe,

I am reviewing the bidding....Those thousands of shares purchased in the (11's and 12's) when my knees were knocking and the stock was tumbling "like the proverbial knife" are looking a whole lot better now. I hope you are back in the fray....

Going up!

Regards,

Mike
