re: Those guys receiving Merced samples and/or validation platforms are doing Intel a service by running Merced through their own tests.

Those guys are doing themselves a favor by testing their hardware and software in a Merced configuration so they have a tested product for sale when the CPU is widely available.

re: I'd imagine that charging money for these samples isn't going to help. Correct me if I'm wrong.
