Tamil Nadu - Brisk growth in TNsoftware exports according to ELCOT elcot.com JPR: Here is some news from your neck of the woods. SOFTWARE exports in Tamil Nadu have posted a leap from Rs. 450 crores ($100 mil) in 1997-98 to Rs. 1,250 crores ($278 mil) during 1998-99 and is poised to exceed Rs. 2,000 crores ($440 mil) in 1999-2000, according to Mr. K. Gnanadesikan, Chairman and Managing Director, Electronics Corpo ration of Tamilnadu (ELCOT) here.
