Getting into bed with Debeer's is kinda a dry hump. Their interest may be control of the world market prices through supply control, as it always has been. Keeping diamonds in the ground and excess supply out of the public eye is, of course, in their interest. I may be wrong, but it seems to me the only reason the Canadian E and D got off the ground was because Debeers was late arriving on the scene.
Thus, the diamet involvement is a breath of fresh air.
Meanwhile the Dow strength can be a factor in keeping prices up. What is bad for gold can be good for diamonds.
