Broadcom® BCM5400 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet transceiver has enabled the first large-scale interoperability testing of
Gigabit Ethernet over copper wiring. The testing was conducted by 12 leading network equipment manufacturers, all using
Broadcom's transceiver, who were able to demonstrate real-world operation of the IEEE 802.3ab standard (1000BASE-T)
