I saw the latest exhibit, last year, of the most complete collection of artifacts from all of the pre-humans to travel, and I believe the suggestion was made there that they existed concurrently, in separate places and the same places, but that clashes were common when "the need" arose. I was surprised by that. Of course. But they seem to have proof of both co-existence and hostility.

Just knowing what we common ordinary beings know about the nature of man (homo sapiens) can we honestly believe that a group of homos living near a group of neanders would "peacefully coexist" for longer than a fortnight? May I interest you in a lovely bridge I have for sale...?
