RS,
I think the investing public views G* as a fringe area service provider. Places in the world that don't have any communications and probably won't generate much use. Its hard to get excited about a company that you perceive as a service provider to some village in China that doesn't have a phone now. Who do these people want to call? Chinese take out? The real use will be the 80% of the USA that doesn't have cellular coverage because its not profitable to build a tower for the limited use. This doesn't mean that communications aren't needed, just that its not profitable for anyone to service these areas. I see the future use as a roaming feature on PCS, BAM and other big service providers. If Sprint PCS announces that for $400 for the phone and $50 a month plus for 500 minutes toll free plus G* roaming charges and coverage virtually anywhere in the world do you think they would have a competitive advantage until the other service providers catch on? The real business of G* will be roaming outside service areas in the USA and other countries where cell is big. Go to Rome and walk the street and you will see everybody with a cell phone to their ear. Korea is the same but there are areas of Italy and Korea that don't have coverage. Forget about the stories that talk about worldwide communications for villages that have never had a phone, thats not where the money is. The business is providing service to people who expect seamless coverage anywhere. I don't think I am the only one in the US that would pay up for coverage anywhere. I can't tell you how many times I have had to stop at a pay phone to call my office because my cell phone is in a no service area. Its not so much for me to call out but my office can't get in touch with me. Buy lots of stock here at this price and sooner or later the rest of Wall St. will catch on to the real business potential.
