Well Jim, with the volatility in EGRP, I'm surprised you don't day trade with it! Care to share some better games?

I've been with E-Trade for a couple of years & plan to stay right here. Also own EGRP.

Roger

Jim--Thanks for your excellent post; as an EGRP investor and E*Trade customer, I hope you stay with us for a long time to come.

And I think you should seriously consider buying the stock--it was no doubt over-valued (in the short-run, anyway) a few months ago, but I believe that it's got a lot of room to run at its current level...

Anyway, thanks again.

Jim,
Thanks for your post. It reaffirms the brilliant move E-Trade made in offering discounts and premium services to traders like yourself. It also demonstrates what I have experienced as well, that e-trade is getting smoother and smoother as it evolves. This technology and business is still in its infancy and despite some relatively minor growing pains, the growth potential, in my opinion, is absolutely enormous. I am long EGRP.

Bill

confirmations are still slow.. sometimes taking 2 to 3 hours to get confirmation

I still feel this is unacceptable for active traders and therefore don't use Etrade for daytrading. However it isn't much of a problem for position trades. I am hoping though, that when they get ARCA up and running, the problem with confirmations goes away as it should be instantaneous.

I'm also looking forward to the added liquidity ARCA will have with all the etraders now using it. That will give me two good ecn choices to trade with (island being the other). I do wonder, however, how Etrade will implement ARCA. I'm hoping it's in the 'post no preference' variety only.

And most of all, I was pleasantly surprised with INCA access afterhours. I hope this means we get to see the INCA book. Now, if they would only offer it pre-market too, I'd be ecstatic.
