C. Kahn, I think it was me who pointed out in this context, that $$$ are the most efficient means of control. I dared to add that this mechanism of control not necessarily contributes to the welfare of the majority, and sometimes a too short-sighted use of that indicator of success can lead to failure on a slightly longer run. I think there is nothing that guarantees a happy ending for our story in this world. I do not assume there is the opposite guarantee either.
