Dear Adelle, I can't imagine the pain of loosing a child! I lost my husband of heart disease when I was 43 and had a 16,20 and 22 year old. It was extremely difficult, especially for the 16 year old ,but the pain you must be feeling now is unthinkable and unimaginable. My heart goes out to you and yours - I'll keep you in my prayers. dear adelle and family, he lived with honor and loved mankind his life was a beacon to even the blind so as he goes swiftly into that good night he travels with prayers while bound for the light robert minshew i have found some comfort in a little picture wrought by a poet named kenneth patchen in times of loss and send it to you with hopes it may afford some comfort to you also while the sorrow of your loss is so present. as follows " picture a. birds across a winter sky thought. the liver of the wren is smaller than the smallest thimble yet the whole wide heavens is it's province" kenneth patchen

Adelle....please accept our condolences in this difficult time. I have had some losses,too and some thoughts that helped me you probably have already had expressed by others more qualified than I....but just in case.... The first thing is the understanding that I needed to come to that God doesn't "take" anyone from us....but He surely does accept them into His warmth. The second is in taking myself out of myself and casting myself into the Spirit of the deceased and then "hearing" what they would say to me.....usually they would never, ever, want me to be sad, but would want me to remember the good times and to continue to enjoy life to the fullest and know that they will always be there with me in the good times and the bad. There are many who "lurk" here that would like to express their positive thoughts but don't know the words or can't express them....please be well and know that you are in far more thoughts than you will ever know.
