Things are looking absolutely rosy going into this Labor Day weekend, no? Merced/460GX demo, great speeds on Coppermine, possible upside Q3 results, the merging of NGIO and Future I/O, introduction of the new network processor, Celeron's success, 8-way Xeon intro (Profusion), and last but certainly not least, an all-time high in the stock price!

Not a bad way to start my three-day weekend.

Tenchusatsu, that was an excellent article on Merced. It got my curiosity up, especially the numbers on floating point. I went looking for an architectural block diagram, poking around a few of Intel's IA-64 description pages, starting with:

developer.intel.com

Good info but I couldn't find a block diagram. Do you know if one has been released yet?

Thanks,

Tony
