Iris --

A number of stocks in my portfolio closed lower than the open (eg, RTHM, CCRD, COVD, VIGN), so perhaps this was a function of the big gap opens rather than anything idiosyncratic to Covad. RTHM actually closed at a small loss for the day.

Suresh,

Not only covd looks strange, the whole dsl including the equipment guys look weak to me. Even though most of them ended up positive last Friday. I have got the same feeling for them for the whole past week. Don't know why. If it's interest rate related, they should have rebounded much better like those nuts. I don't know if price cutting competition between the big carriers will affect these clces. Until they show some volume strength, I'll just watch.

As jnpr, as long as it's hated by most of the shorts and loved by the longs, I am going to watch it for an entry point. Do you know how many its outstanding shares are?
