From a 6/98 article:

This week, Digital Evolution, Pulier's five-year-old Brentwood, Calif.-based firm, merges
with US Interactive, a Philadelphia- and New York-based company. The new entity will have an
estimated $20 million to $25 million in annual revenue and will carry the US Interactive name.
Its owners plan to take it public. . . . Pulier thought he could play the acquisition
game[while at Digital Evolution], but says he decided not to do so after looking at the shops he could
afford. Sources say the firm's backers, which include Trident Capital and Paul Allen's Vulcan
Northwest
, weren't willing to fund such a plan.
