Don,

The point of an EIS is to assess as best as possible the impact of the activity. Assessment is in reality an ongoing function, but for the purposes of a permit must occur before the permit is granted. (Its a best guess activity open to varying interpretations and predicted results.)

I quite frankly, don't think this is Paramount's screw up. They have been around the block with the Argentinians and the Indonesians. The people who do not have the experience in the more political arena are the staff from Canabrava. So, as operators, its their problem. Lets hope they learn a lesson from this, and recover. If not we are doomed to very restricted activity along the river.

Don, the stock price reflects the percieved value. We didn't see this coming but others evidently did, or at least understood that the fat lady was not even in the house, let alone getting ready to sing. So its back to waiting.

I'm disappointed, disgusted, but not surprised. Hell its been years and years of waiting.
