X -- you are correct in thinking my XXX post was directed toward someone other than you. Rightly or wrongly I felt I had been insulted -- re. the outburst.

If I may jump ahead a bit (and back, sort of) to other posts of yours --

The first time I recall addressing you was something silly to the effect of "What's an X, the Unknown." Forgive, if I have misstated. In replying that the "name" was also the name of a movie, you added, "Of course you (me) wouldn't know that."

I don't know why you would have assumed that or felt a need to point it out in such a way. Hey, just call me the sensitive type.

As for the "little boxes" discussion that appeared on the thread, my reference was not meant as an insult. I thought, quite honestly, you might have a thing for the Seeger song since it's sentiment seemed to reflect your sensitivity about people and ideas being rigidly categorized.

By the way, I'm glad several here remembered the song and its political, social context.

I agree with Neo, the the instant 'burbs that sprang up changed America for the better.....those and the WWII GI Bill. I have often wondered why those neighborhoods invited such scorn.
