I live in a predominantly Republican area, even with a substantial number of African- Americans.(Some of them are Republican). I am not sure that you could tell the difference....Are you saying that you live next to Auntie Mame? Unless you have flamboyant neighbors, I cannot imagine how they could be more fun then any other suburbanites.....

Yesterday, during the home inspection of our house-to-be, I forgot to pull Rover's emergency brake, and she rolled into the neighbor's car, thank goodness doing no damage. When we came out, our soon to be new next door neighbor was extrememly irascible, even after I gave him my best apology. I think he is a Republican, he was wearing a long-sleeved ironed Oxford shirt, tie, and dress pants. He is probably not going to be fun.

The catty-corner neighbors look "ethnic," have several little children, and a large, loud dog. I think they are Democrats, and are probably not going to be fun, either.

But the house is nice. I will have an SI party once we are settled in, and invite people who play nicely with others.
