Remember the Q is very much in bed with Palm Pilot from 3 Com and has a development arrangement with 3 Com. In addition, the Q is a full card carrying member of WAP and has licensed Phone.com's browser. And as I recall, the Q participates in bluetooth too. The JV with MSFT is not the only string in the Q's bow. Chaz

While the handsets are great, they are merle a means to access information>>> With all due respect to you.Your worry about the handsets is no more valid then the worry about voice only handsets.QUALCOMM dose and will enjoy an Intel like position as the CDMA system becomes even more important to the data centric world.The CDMA radio interface is simular to the set in stone operating system that MSFT enjoys only better QUALCOMM has patents on it.WIRELESS KNOWLEGE is embarking on an extreamly complex system and I have heard the comment that "IF QUALCOMM and MICROSOFT can't do it no one can".I belive they will do it as they have an amazing pool of talent in there force of determination as well as a huge bank to help it happen.While I do belive that this will take a little time look how long it took us to get from wireline like penetration of the internet to the explosion of what we enjoy today in pc-home-internet penetration.WIRELESS KNOWLEDGE will deliver on the product called REVOLV and the RBOC'S are currently very involved in helping shape what they want and need in the interface to make it work well with what is out there.The wireless internet potentially could change a lot of rules in wireless as CDMA works it way into many devices only our minds can fathom.The brain trust that QUALCOMM houses transulates into a revolution and MICROSOFT an important ally.
