Gao; In that news article there is at least one mistake it could
be just a typo..but that's the way so much about Waco gets confused,
----------
RE Texas Rangers began uncovering evidence that pyrotechnic tear-gas rounds were used by the FBI almost a month before the latest disclosures. The Rangers were brought in when the Branch Davidian standoff began, and they were asked by the Justice Department to keep all of the key evidence from the resulting criminal investigations and trials.
------------------------------------
Standoff Began is wrong..The Rangers came in only after the fire
and when the official ( so called ) investigation began.

They were not allowed in during the stand off even the
Governor of Texas was in Touch with RENO, and offered and wanted
them to go in , but deferred the decision to Reno who then asked
the ATF/FBI and they said NO. At least tahts my understanding
but I do know they were not in there until after, and by then
the ATF had already "policed" what was left and removed any
thing they could see that they thought would incriminate them.
------------------
AS soon as the Raid went sour , I asked RENO to get the ATF out
of it , & let the FBI & or Rangers take over, I knew that if the
ATF stayed there would be huge conflicts of interest.
( there was much bickering & infighting between them during the
stand off too )
The FBI was to some extent coerced into letting the ATF have
their way in a lot of went on that would likely not have
happened had the ATF been pulled out, I'm sure it would
not have been half the mess it is now.
---------------
I have good relations with my local law here, and while they can't
go public very easy, I can tell you to the man, they agree that
when the ATF botched it the way they did
they should have been pulled out,
This is not to say we could or should walk away from it
as RENO accused me of saying, but it was time for a change
of the guard and under the circumstances keeping the ATF in
there spelled certain doom.

The FBI is catching more heat than their fair share, that's
for sure, what is it with this ATF & why ? Are their ties
to the CIA that strong ? Is this to be the new Gestapo,
I'm convinced that some KKK types have turned in their
sheets for ATF uniforms.

OVER 400 CS gas, military ferret rounds were fired into the
building. I think they thought it might be a good way to use
them up, as these devises became outlawed by the Geneva Convention
some time ago, it's a war crime to even use them on the
battle field in a war.
