...the test is designed to discover male effeminacy...

Hmmm...we have another problem here, Neo.

Effeminacy tests are usually designed to identify homosexuals. Some homosexuals indeed display "effeminate" traits, and/or are attracted to what we would normally expect to be "feminine" pursuits (e.g., dress designing, home decoration). That does NOT mean they are "female wannabes." Most prefer to remain males. Only the few who seek trans-sexual operations can properly be considered "female wannabes," IMO.

So who ARE the "female wannabes"? I think that if we had any here, and if they actually spoke up, we might all be very surprised at their reasons for wanting to be women.

As I told you, as a child, I wanted to be a boy, because boys got to do all kinds of things girls were not allowed to do. I can see a grown male today wanting to be a female for very much the same reason. Let's take some nice hard-working schmuck, for example, who hauls himself off to a job he hates every day, bored witless, but doing it because he feels obliged to be a "good provider"; I can conceive of his envying his wife, or other women, who lead a much easier life, in his view, and who get to stay home to keep house, and don't have to answer to any boss. I can see him fantasizing about the easy life of a woman, and being, at least occasionally, a "female wannabe..."

Guess we've got to define our terms, if we want this to be a truly...er...scientific inquiry...<g>
