GDIChaz, what kind of name is that? at least mine sounds like a citizen's band handle thanks for the compliment.. I have found no correlation between some excellent TA calls and trading success.. IMO trading involves 80% emotional control and 20% analysis (whether TA or fundy).. when have you ever known an Irishman to have great emotional control???.. bright maybe, entertaining always, boring never, in control dont count on it!!! in late May my TA target of 112 was hit and I held thru the cascading drop to 90.. in July my TA target of 145 was hit and I endured up to earnings.. in August my TA drop target of 140 was reached and I was out of QCOM checking out jovencitas in Cuba without buy orders hanging on the account wall.. I missed the run from 150 to 195, reentered at 184 and doubled up at 168 so I fired myself, dissed the Schwab account, mouthed off to their Risk Dept about slapping QCOM on their margin restricted list, and took up with a young steed broker who loves QCOM to death.. his job is now to quell my emotionally based unprofitable decisions and to remain with both feet in QCOM until I retire my sorry ass.. only then can I devote fulltime to chasing muchachas and other unsuspecting little girls my biggest concerns now are the US$, the TByield, and US savings rate.. earnings for Q and most techs will shine in Q3 and Q4.. we need the money tide to come in again.. the market breadth looks poor, and has looked poor since late 1998 and especially since spring 1999.. but then again, in this Darwinian marketplace, the winners take all and leave crumbs for the alsorans / jim
