Ah- well it is a strong human impulse to shove people into boxes. I feel it myself, and have crammed several people here into boxes I think they jolly well deserve. But I am not blind to the fact I have done this and I would be willing to explore it if called on it, and I think I have good reasons for my boxes. I do not like boxes that appear to be ill fitted to their inhabitants. I guess that was where I was trying to go with that PM/girltalk/circle the wagons thing. Discrimination and generalization are marks of intelligence in a species, but I think they are much better when coupled with the recognition that discrimination and generalization can be leapt to with too little evidence and can be clung to even when they fly in the face of reason.
