Not to mention the Sarin gas in Tokyo.

Hey, here's a thesis to toss out: the government should encorage nuts to get guns because then they won't feel the need to make bombs or gas that will kill dozens or hundresd, but will be satisfied with guns that kill only a few at a time. Think that will play with the NRA?

I'm not a gun-controller, Ish, but I've gotta say I think you miss the point here:

A motivated person will find means of killing more people quicker than
with a gun.

For those who don't comprehend the last paragraph think of Oklahoma City. Not a bullet fired.

Most people who kill are not mass murderers, and do not want to be. There is one specific person, or a bunch of specific people, they want to kill. A gun is sufficient for the purpose. Sarin gas, or explosives, or a nuclear device, or whatever, would result in overkill, from their point of view.
