Chaz,

<< Especially with chips on the Q >>

Thats where most of my chips are as well, But ...

... whats happening as a result of the GSM/TDMA alliance snuck up on all of us real quickly. Worldwide GSM/TDMA interoperability. AT&T fully committed to a 2002 implementation of EDGE. TDMA (not CDMA) arguably the fastest growing wireless technology in the world.

<< key in the short run will be not AT&T but Bell South which is well ahead of the other Baby Bells in data >>

Don't forget SBC with Pac Bell (well into data) on the GSM side and their TDMA interests which include Ameritech & Comcast.

Throw in the recent Omnipoint/Voicestream merger backed by Hutchinson with the possible aquisition of Ariel & Powertel to add to the US GSM/TDMA equation. The Paradigm Shifts.

<< The game will be fun to watch play out >>

Amen!
