QuietWon- re:SVCs

Hi QuietWon,

I am surprised that there is demand for SVCs as I thought that the demand was growing for IP based connectionless
equipment only. Secure virtual circuits can be created
out of IP based equipment, like Cisco, and they don't use any switching equipment. Switching equipment hogs the
circuit, so more bandwidth is available. I guess for
applications that are not very bursty this might be
required, but I thought the world was switching to
connectionless.

I have not heard of the companies you mentioned, other
than CSCO. I would have to do the research myself. I
would appreciate it if you find anything to let us all
know here.

Thank you, and just my opinion.

Jon :)
