f - Re: "IMHO there was a perception that the internet was leaving Intel behind. " Possibly - of course, the same thing was said about Microsoft in late 1995 - after their Windows 95 launch. Since then, Microsoft turned the whole company's focus to the internet. Intel, as you note, is doing the same thing but it is a much slower evolution. Re: "Andy and Craig don't look too internet-hip. But they ARE, and so is Intel. " Intel never was - and probably never will be - considered "hip" - not like an Apple Computer or Netscape (was). Companies that are perceived to be survivors and thrivers in the net's future are getting and will continue to get higher PE's."
