Joan, res- Well, of course not, but since professed liberals probably do not account for more than 10% of SI regulars, they do not normally expect any political thread to "endear itself" to them. Where did you get these statistics from? Maybe the liberals are just too darn embarrassed to start a thread, because it would require actually debating one-on-one with people? It's quite possible the same reason that talk radio is dominated by conservatives is the same reason SI is dominated by conservative threads. It's a two way immediate conversational mechanism. Unlike mainstream Television which is totally dominated by liberals because it's a one way mechanism. If Dan Rather, Peter Jennings and company actually had to defend their belief's, accusations and news reporting, they would probably elect to stay in the shadows like most of the liberals do here.
