It is odd that you called me Bill Clinton as what you believed to be the ultimate insult. Outside of what you see as a betrayal to our Taiwanese brethren, Clinton is one of the most pro-interventionist Presidents going. He'd fully agree with you that American troops should be considered for duty wherever "freedom" is threatened. He may screw up the effort, and lob a few missiles to places they don't belong, but you and he are in general agreement--brothers in intervention.

And, let's not forget, that every major interventionist war of this century was begun by a Republican fighting for the freedom of the peoples of the world. Oooops..got that wrong:

World War One: Wilson (Democrat)

World War Two: Roosevelt (Democrat)

Korean "War": Truman (Democrat)

Vietnam: Kennedy/Johnson (Democrats)

Iraq: Bush/Clinton (this one's a draw)

Kosovo: Clinton (Democrat)

You, Sir, must support they Democrats because the interventionist policies you embrace as dearly as life itself are weak among the Republicans. When can Mr. Gore expect your contribution?
