Why did all those countries not fall to the Russian Commies after they invaded Afghanistan? I guess it's because (as you would advocate) we landed 500,000 troops in Kabul to push the Russians out of there, while nuclear missiles claimed Chicago, Houston and Cleveland here, and Kiev and Odessa there. Hmm...that didn't happen either. Maybe India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, and Indonesia didn't fall because it just wasn't Brezhnev's intention to invade these countries, despite domino theorists like yourself insisting that this was Brezhnev's next step.

The PRC views Taiwan as we viewed the breakaway states of the confederacy. Their desire to reclaim territory that has been part of China since the Mongols cannot logically be connected to any realistic belief that they plan next to invade Japan. One thing simply does not follow from the other.

Gao Seng:

I don't know what strategic importance Taiwan has to the U.S., other than possibly demonstrating that we might honor our word.

But I'd like to ask you if you think it might be possible that Clinton advocating release of some very violent, anti-U.S. Puerto Ricans could have some connection to trying to gain Hillary the large PR vote in New York?<g>
