This could just be the move that guarantees the devaluation won't occur prior to the big Oct. 1 celebration in China. . .but it doesn't guarantee that it won't happen soon afterward. As for this putting off any sort of devaluation until next year. . .that estimate is probably made based on the current markets. . . but October is traditionally very hard on the Asian markets. . .so if they are driven down hard and fast, that devaluation may happen much sooner than the article implies.
