I do pay only $1500/year in quarterly amounts of $375.

I saw that you had answered my followup question. I have the account as well. 1% is a big break from the former plan of 2.25% of equities and a fixed number of trades. Under the old plan, your FC could discount up to 35% of the fee. Now $1500 is the absolute minimum.
