With the gigantic number of AMZN calls set to expire profitably in less than 2 weeks (thanks prissy), many of which
were probably sold naked by Merrill, the timing would be perfect for AMZN to experience a great fall. Remember, the
easiest profits are always made when expiration time approaches.. (well, easiest if you are a high-profile analyst that
moves markets, and you wait until 1-2 days before expiration)

Could they not buy puts very close to expiration?? I am not sure what the regulations are on this.

KIS, Glenn, etc., The convertible piece is dated 8/20. This alarmed some people on the RagingBull boards a couple weeks back. I didn't think it was a big deal then. AMZN's bonds weren't downgraded, they were removed from a model portfolio.

RE: the "overvalued" part. Does anyone have an old copy of Jon Cohen's ML reports on AMZN. The language reminds me of his.
