Thanks for the insight. I would venture to say that just as many hold
AOL as a long term investment, so too should you approach your Peter Lynch methodology. In other words, what happens after Jan 2000 when
ATHM no longer pays for your AOL? Will your daughter not be as interested? That would be an interesting follow-up... Cheers

Jeff, I have seen similar TV ads by TCI@Home wherein they come on TV and say that they will pay for AOL. I have a sneeking suspicion that both AOL and ATT have a secret agreement to go about it that way for a while. I think and I repeat I think, that at the end of the period, both AOL and ATT will sit down with the statistics to determine who needs who more and then strike some sort of a deal. If AOL has greater appeal to consumers than broadband access then ATT will have to give in. If the case is vice versa, then AOL will have to give in. I tell you, these guys are no dummies, Steve Case and his men and Armstrong and his men. So let us wait and see.
