This may not be relevant, but to me it taints things slightly... The Daily Oklahoman: This is a very 'right wing' newspaper in this state. In fact there are billboards around OKC that say "It's a good thing we don't elect our newspaper publishers". Bob Ricks, who now heads Oklahoma's highway patrol oh yeah... appointed by former FBI man Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating. I don't think you referred to it, but in the Daily Oklahoman article they quoted John George, a "domestic terrorism and political extremism expert" at the University of Central Oklahoma. The President at that U. used to be the president at the U. here. His job before becoming university president here? Same as Bob Ricks. Head of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Oh yeah... made university president a year or so after Karen Silkwood died in a mysterious single car accident on an Oklahoma highway... Oh, and Oklahoma University president, and former US Senator, David Boren was governor at that time. As a high school student in Silver Springs Maryland, (daddy was in politics), he was a Page for then-Oklahoma Senator Robert Kerr, (of Kerr-McGee, Karen Silkwood's employer). Ya know?... I need to go see if there are any black helicopters circling my house ...
