The problem is that today there is really no good reason to drive them at 800 MHz in the PC business since there is no problem in providing 64b wide data paths. This, along with their decision to provide one solution that works all the way from very small systems to very large systems, makes their job very tough. More tough than it needs to be at this time. If they can get through the next 6 months OK then they'll look like visionaries. But if they crash and burn they'll look like fools.
