From the Korea Herald:

Oil consumption rose in July
Consumption of petroleum products totaled 56.98 million barrels in July, up 13.7 percent from a year ago, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy said yesterday.

The ministry attributed the increase partially to extra demand caused by the anticipation of hikes in local petroleum product prices.

By product, gasoline consumption surged 25.3 percent to 6.3 million barrels, that of diesel oil rose 8.4 percent to 10.70 million barrels, and that of naphtha rose 11.4 percent to 19.01 million barrels, the ministry said.
