Sidney, I did not mean to imply that technology, in itself, is "wicked." The problem, of course, comes with the people who use it. Nevertheless, the fact is that technology has developed to such a degree that even well-intentioned people are tempted to use it to simplify their tasks, without necessarily anticipating what could be very unfortunate results.

Does that make sense?

That's one point and as you say the US Government is now too big for any attempt at an armed conflict overthrow try.

I tend to believe that the limits are the style over substance thing again. More phoney BS that our leaders are looking out for our safety. I remember Clinton railing against "cop killer" bullets a year after he signed legislation banning them. Plus even the name. No policeman was ever shot with a teflon coated bullet.

It's also another short step the liberals want to take in their fight to ban all guns.
