Mark, the group exists and they are very much about recruitment. I realize they are a radical voice in the gay community and much of what they do would be frowned upon by more temperate gay people. See for yourself: lesbian.org What I mentioned in that post was not from my imagination. If the story was on NPR I'm sure it made the papers. I'll bet a Nexus search would turn something up. Regarding the phone number, I recall that if that number was dialed, info was given on where a young woman could go for counseling and to meet like-minded people. There were bars included on the list as I recall, but it is a minor point. Perhaps they just used the tables and chairs before hours, I don't know. We should keep in mind that they were leafleting a junior high school. I consider myself a tolerant conservative, but this was a shot across the bow in the culture war. Edit: My real beef is with the teachers unions who refused to condemn the activity
