The evidence is too inconclusive to insist that it is fixed....Women are generally less sexually aggressive than men....There were no teachers widely known to be gay in high school. However, when I was working in a Howard Johnson's the summer between my sophomore and junior years in college, I ran into a biology teacher whom I had not had, but whom I had known slightly. I was on a night shift, and he invited me home. He got me drunk, and then tried to talk me into sleeping with him for "the experience"....Of course, I was not his student, and was almost 20, so I do not know how far one can infer anything about his behavior with his students...I don't want anyone to commit suicide, but I am not sure that gay teachers are the solution. I would accept gay teachers, in any case, but not necessarily gay camp counselors or scout leaders....
