Searle has the list. My basic point is that the miners must first consolidate big time and then sharply cut production if the price is still depressed. I suspect that the mere fact of restructuring will cause the shorts and bullion banks to back off.

Morning Richard, concerning my (perhaps foolish) questions on whether Barrick could have used some of their cash to refinance Trizec's debt at the rate of Barrick dividends and 1.35%(reads like a gold lease rate?), can someone indulge me as to whether they could do that. Does anyone know if this has definitely not been done, or if it could and had, would the market be aware of it?
