This discussion of Seymour's focus on whether EPAC is materially superior to MP3 makes it seem as though EDIG's fate is utterly dependent on EPAC's hegemony.

I had thought that the MicroOS could be a complementary part of any CODEC solution that evolved from SDMI. I did not think that EDIG's success bore a zero-sum relationship to MP3's.

Have I misapprehended the situation?
