G'day Ron & all - hope everyone here in the US have a safe and fun labor day - the last hurrah of Summer 99! Ron, regarding the analyst's skepticism, it is quite reasonable and not uncommon. Has Japan hit bottom to be willing to take up the pain? To bet on it is still a contrarian pov. I mean, with the banking problem is out in the open - not sure if it is in full view though - it would be a really bad strategy to use merger as an attempt to cover up, so maybe, just maybe, it is an honest attempt for reform. Whether they have enough stomach to see it through, it is anyone's guess best, Bosco
