That's one fine dog you got there BLUE. Standing "O" for the old man.
Took Lava to the pond today and did just about the same thing. After a few "fun bumpers" to get her warmed up, I gave her a "sit" whistle. She planted her butt and looked over the pond. I threw the bumper as far as I could, and being one of those plastic bumpers, the sucker flew out a loooong way. I then sent her on her name, and she hit the water so hard it was like she was walking on it for about 10 yards. She swam all the way to the bumper, I whistled her back, and she came right in. That was her farthest retrieve yet...had to be about 75-80 yards...water all the way. I was very proud.
I sure hope she will turn out as well as the Ol' Yellow Dog. And I've got an idea that she might be on her way.
